Yankees Lead Best of Seven Game Series 2-1
It definitely wasn’t a homecoming as the Yankees took the wood to Bob Buhl and the Braves bullpen. Buhl took the loss and he gave up three runs before getting out of the first inning while four different relievers were tagged for at least two runs. Bob Trowbridge was particularly hit hard and he gave up five runs in the seventh inning.
Hank Aaron hit his first World Series homerun with a two run blast in the fifth inning. Red Schoendienst had a team high three hits and he drove in the other run for the Braves.
