Braves 6, Cardinals 1 (93-57)
The Braves extended their winning streak to eight games as Hank Aaron blasted a first inning grand slam in which the team never looked back from. It was Aaron’s league leading 44th of the season and while it was his only hit, it was a big one.
Warren Spahn coasted to his 21st win of the season. He gave up one run on five hits and four walks with six strikeouts in the complete game win.
