Braves 4, Dodgers 2 (39-29)
Warren Spahn bounced back from a tough start his last time out to hold the Dodgers in check for the Braves third straight win. He gave up two runs on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts in the complete game win. The solid outing improved his record to 8-5 on the season.
Spahn helped out his own cause with a solo homer in the fifth inning. Del Crandall had a nice game and he went two for three with three RBIs.
