In their first game on the road against the Brewers, the Braves lost 3-2. Starter Tim Hudson gave a solid outing giving up two runs in eight innings, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Brewers got the go-ahead run in the Ninth to win the game. Chipper Jones went 2 for 4 at the plate boosting his batting average to .418. Atlanta’s runs were scored by solo shots from Kelly Johnson and Gregor Blanco. In the second game of the series, the Braves lost 1-0 but Jo-Jo Reyes also gave a solid performance on the mound. In seven innings of work, Reyes allowed only one run on two hits and struck out nine while only walking three. Brewers starter Jeff Suppan held the Braves to four hits on the night and led his team to a 1-0 victory. The Braves have one more game in Milwaukee tomorrow before heading to Cincinatti. With the next games on the road, the Braves continue to hold hope that things will turn around for them on the road.
