In five innings, Jo-Jo Reyes allowed eight runs including seven earned while only striking out four and gave up three homers in Atlanta’s 11-1 loss to Arizona last night. At the plate Chipper Jones went 1 for 1 boosting his batting average to .415 and Kelly Johnson had the only RBI in the Second inning, but in the end the Braves couldn’t get the hits at the plate. After much success at home this season and coming off a four-game sweep of the Mets, the Braves were feeling quite confident headed into this series against Arizona, but as it often happens in sports, just when things seem too good to be true the bubble burst and your brought back to reality. The Braves have game two of the series tonight at Turner Field hoping to return to the blissful victories at home.
