September 15, 1957 at County Stadium
Phillies 3, Braves 2 (85-57)
The Braves lost their third straight game and for the eighth time in eleven games and what was at one point an 8 1/2 game lead was now just 2 1/2 games. The Braves jumped out to a 2-0 lead but the Phillies kept in it and scored they tying run in the top of the ninth then the winning run in the top of the tenth. Both of those late runs came off of Warren Spahn, who fell to 19-10.
Joe Adcock doubled home Red Schoendienst in the bottom of the second to put the Braves on the board. Then Schoendienst singled home Johnny Logan in the second to give the Braves their second and final run.
