Braves 4, Pirates 3 (47-35)
The Braves made it three straight against the Pirates with most of their runs coming via the long ball. Wes Covington belted a solo homer while Del Crandall went yard with a solo shot. Johnny Logan also had a nice game and he went two for four with a run.
Lew Burdette picked up the win and he improved to 7-6 on the season. He gave up three runs on ten hits with a strikeout in the complete game win.
