Braves 8, Giants 2 (88-57)
The Braves won their third straight game and in the process, extended their National League lead to four games with just nine games to play. Johnny Logan had a team high three hits and he both scored and drove in a run. Hank Aaron and Joe Adcock each scored two runs while Del Crandall drove in a pair. Andy Pafko was the only Brave to go yard with a solo homer in the eighth inning. It was his seventh of the year.
Lew Burdette improved to 16-9 with a nice outing. He gave up two runs on four hits with a walk and one strikeout in the complete game win.
