Braves 3, Giants 1 (87-57)
The Braves kept their three game lead intact with another nice pitching performance. This time, it was Bob Trowbridge who held the opposition to a single run. He gave up just a single run on five hits and a walk with one strikeout and the win improved his record to 7-5 on the season.
Hank Aaron had the big day at the plate. He went three for four and he hit homerun number 41 off the right field foul pole. He scored two runs while Joe Adcock also had three hits including a two run shot that put the Braves on the board in the second inning.
