Reds 11, Braves 6 (20-14)
It’s hard to believe that this was a 2-1 game heading into the eighth but both teams put a bunch of runs on the board. The Reds finally put themselves over the top and they scored five runs off of Ernie Johnson in the tenth inning.
Lew Burdette was okay in his start. He gave up five runs on seven hits and five walks with six strikeouts in eight innings.
Hank Aaron homered and he drive in two runs in the loss. Del Crandall hit a two run homer in the ninth inning to send the game into extra frames.
