The Braves turned on the offense in their fifth straight win to open up the season. Hank Aaron led the way for the Braves with his second homerun of the season. He finished with two hits, two RBIs and three runs. Bill Bruton was a perfect three for three with two RBIs and a run.
Bob Buhl coasted to his first win of the season and he improved to 1-0. He gave up three runs on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts in seven innings of work. Gene Conley gave up a run in two innings of work and he picked up his first save of the season.
