Braves 5, Cardinals 4  (72-43)

The Braves got some extra inning heroics from Hank Aaron to take care of the Cardinals.  After Warren Spahn gave up a single run in the top of the eleventh, Hank Aaron came up huge with a two run walk off double to win it for the Braves.  Red Schoendiesnt pitched in with a two run homer in the win.

Spahn improved to 14-8 despite giving up the go ahead run in the eleventh.  Lew Burdette almost saw a solid start go to waste.  He gave up three runs on eight hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in the no decision.
