Hank Aaron Belts Thirtieth Homer In Braves Loss

by @ 5:14 am. Filed under 1957 Braves, 1957 Braves Diary - July

July 25, 1957 at County Stadium
Phillies 5, Braves 3  (54-40)

The Braves lost their rubber game with the Phillies despite Hank Aaron’s 30th homerun of the season.  Unfortunately, his long ball came with nobody on base.  Wes Convington had a triple and he scored a run in the loss.

Warren Spahn dropped to 10-8 with a mediocre start.  He gave up three runs on five hits and two walks without a single strikeout in five innings of work.
