Tonight in the second game of a three-game series against Philadelphia, veteran Tom Glavine recorded his first win of the season as the Braves took an 8-6 win on the road from the Phillies. It was two birds with one stone as this win ended a winless streak on the road and a winless streak for Tom Glavine. The Braves took advantage at the plate with runners in scoring position and also had solo homers from Yunel Escobar and Chipper Jones in the First inning and Kelly Johnson in the Second. Glavine went a little over five innings striking out four and giving up four runs. Finally some frustration has been relieved for Atlanta with this win and the Braves hope to build on this momentumby taking the road series from the Phillies tomorrow night. Atlanta is now three games behind the Marlins in the NL East standings.
