In his first start since June 10, Tom Glavine fell to the Cubs in an 11-7 loss as he gave up seven runs on seven hits in four innings putting the Braves in a hole in which they just couldn’t climb out. The day however wasn’t so gloomy for Mark Kotsay as he went cycle with a double in the seventh that non only completed the cycle but gave him his 1,500th career hit. It was the second time this season the Cubs have swept the Braves as they went 6-0. Jeff Francoeur went yard for his first time since July 9th as he went 3 for 5 on the night. The Braves will now look to face the Giants at Turner Field starting tonight as Jair Jurrjens takes the mound. In the meantime, questions still swirl as to whether or not Tom Glavine will return this season or ever as he is placed back on the DL due to his elbow.
