by @ 2:28 pm. Filed under Uncategorized

The first 21 batters of the Braves were retired last night as the Braves travelled to LA to take on the Dodgers following their 17th inning win on Sunday.  Mark Teixeira broke the drought as well as the perfect game when he hitt a double to lead off the Eighth inning.  Jorge Campillo gave a quality performance in his start giving up three runs in seven inning on the mound.  The Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda pitched a complete game in his shutout performance.  Nomar Garciaparra hit a one-out, two-run homer in the Fifth to give Kuroda the runs he needed to secure the win.  Tonight Jair Jurrjens (8-4)will be on the mound to face off against the Dodgers Chad Billingsley (8-7).
