The Braves lost in eleven innings against the Reds on Friday night and not only was Chipper Jones 0-5 for the first time since April 30, but the League’s star hitter also had two costly defensive errors in the Eleventh in the Braves’ 19th consecutive one-run road-game loss. Jones’ League best batting average was lowered to .409 as the Braves lost another road game after Tom Glavine went six innings giving up two runs on five hits and striking out five while only walking two. The Braves’ first run came in the Sixth when Mark Teixeira hit a sacrifice fly to center to knock in Kelly Johnson and the second run came in the Seventh when Greg Norton scored on a double-play ball hit by Ruben Gotay. The road woes continue for the Braves who have now just one game in four since leaving Atlanta earlier in the week.
