Brian Jordan will be 40 years when opening day 2007 rolls around and he’s hoping to rejuvinate his career. Jordan hasn’t played much the past four seasons while he made the Braves as a non roster invitee in 2006, we’ll now see whether he has one more season left in the tank. I have a feeling someone will take a flyer on him as a fourth or fifth outfielder who wants to have a veteran prescence in the dugout.
Jordan joins John Thomson, Danys Baez, Todd Pratt and Daryle Ward as Braves who have filed for free agency since the World Series ended. There’s nobody in those five that I feel the Braves NEED to sign so if anything, they could be shedding themselves of some dead weight.
