August 15, 1967 at Crosley Field
Braves 8, Reds 1 (71-42)
The Braves swept their third consecutive series and won their tenth straight game in an amazing run. With the month of August half way done, the Braves had lost just one game. This time, it was Warren Spahn who picked up the win. He gave up one unearned run on eight hits and four walks with three strikeouts in nine innings of work.
Hank Aaron was the hitting star in this one. He went two for five with two homers and five RBIs. The two homers brought his season total up to 34 on the season. Eddie Mathews belted his 23rd homer and Bob Hazle hit his second.
