The Braves finished up the month of July with a four game winning streak and this time, it was Bob Buhl who got it done on the mound. He improved to 13-6 and he gave up two runs (one earned) on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in the complete game win.
Red Schoendienst was the hitting star in the win. He went three for three with a solo homer and a walk. Johnny Logan also went yard with a solo homer.
