On Tuesday the Braves won 10-9 against the Marlins followed by a lost on Wednesday 4-1 before bouncing back Thursday 4-2. In the 10-9 victory, the Braves had a four-run rally in the Ninth with the winning RBI single hit by Yunel Escobar. Marin Prado went 2 for 4 with a walk and two doubles on the day that helped the Braves past a rough start after Jair Jurrjens allowed six runs in three innings on six hits giving up a two-run home run and walking one. On Wednesday, the Marlins 4-1 came against Mike Hampton who went eight innings giving three runs on eight hits while falling to 2-2 for his record on the season. The bats though weren’t going for the Braves to support the solid performance by Hampton and the only run came from groundout single that scored Kelly Johnson following his triple in the Fifth inning. The Braves bounced back Thursday though to win 4-2 with Brian McCann leading the way as he hit a three-run homer in the Fifth to cap the game for the Braves. Charlie Morton went over six innings allowing two runs on four hits as the bullpen saved his victory giving him his fourth of the season. With the Marlins behind the Braves, the Braves will now leave Turner Field as they look to take on the Washington Nationals in a three-game series that ended today.
