April 30, 1957 at the Polo Grounds
Giants 4, Braves 0 (9-2)
The Braves went out on a losing note to end the month of April but it was still a very impressive start for the team. They stood at 9-2 and they were a game ahead of the National League champs, the Brooklyn Dodgers.
The Braves managed only seven hits the entire game and only Bobby Thomson had a two hit game. Bob Buhl picked up the loss despite having a solid start. He gave up two runs on seven hits and a walk with one strikeout in six innings of work.
