Braves Held to Four Hits In Shutout Loss to Dodgers

by @ 12:52 pm. Filed under 1957 Braves, 1957 Braves Diary - June

June 25, 1957 at County Stadium
Dodgers 2, Braves 0  (36-29)

The Braves couldn’t get anything going at the plate as they lost to the Dodgers in their series opener.  Four different Braves picked up a single a piece and not one of their ten baserunners crossed the plate.

It’s too bad because a nice start by Lew Burdette went to waste.  He gave up just two runs (one earned) on four hits with five strikeouts in a complete game loss that pushed his record down to 5-5 on the season.
