May 3, 1957 at Forbes Field
Brewers 8, Pirates 7   (12-2)

Gene Conley gave up three runs in the seventh and Taylor Phillips gave up three in the ninth as the Pirates came back from a six run deficit to tie it.  Fortunately, Bobby Thomson singled home Hank Aaron in the eleventh to win it 8-7.  Aaron had a huge game.  He went three for six with his fifth homerun, four RBIs and two runs.  Bobby Thomson finished with two hits and he drove in two runs and scored one.

Red Murff picked up the win with two shutout innings.  Warren Spahn came in to get the final batter out and he picked up his first save of the season.
