Manager Bobby Cox not only was given a win by the Braves on Wednesday for his 67th birthday, but today the organization responded by ending rumors that this season might be his last. The long-time skipper of the Braves was signed to a one-year extension on his contract that will have him as the manager through the 2009 season at an estimated contract salary of $3 million.
