Starter Jorge Campillo had a little help at the plate from Mark Teixeira and Chipper Jones in an 8-1 victory over the Brewers. Teixeira hit a three-run home run in the Fifth and Chipper Jones went 2 for 4 with two walks, which brings his batting average to .420. In five innings, Campillo allowed four hits and one run off a homer while striking out six and throwing 49 of 73 pitches for strikes. The win marked the seventh one on the road for the Braves in the last 25 games away. The one run given up by Campillo came on his first pitch in the Fifth when Russell Branyan hit it into the stands in right field. It was the first run he has surrendered since May 10, a 20 1/3 innings streak. The Braves must now take on the Reds on the road.
